Focusing on Problem Solving

The ITRSS Research Facilitator helps bridge the gap between technical and practical problem solving for researchers’ projects that utilize HPC services. Ensuring that researchers have access to the resources they need is our top priority. This may include troubleshooting, or collaborating with other IT teams. The Research Facilitator takes proactive steps to promote education of the HPC systems, through various user trainings, videos, and knowledge base articles. 

Research Lifecycle Support

Our research facilitator provides support during every stage of the research process, offering guidance to maintain organization and compliance of grant funded projects. They are able to assist PIs in preparation of a competitive proposal through consultation, to match project requirements with the technical resources ITRSS has available. 

When a research project receives an award, the research facilitator assists in coordinating the technical support, management of workflows, and continues to keep documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
